Christopher Perez
M.D. -
Medical Director
Dr. Christopher Perez lives in Coral Springs, Florida with his wife and two
children. Dr. Perez is board-certified in emergency medicine. He received
his medical degree from the University of Michigan and completed his
residency in emergency medicine at St. Luke's-Roosevelt hospital, affiliate
of Columbia University in New York City.Dr.
Perez began practicing emergency medicine in 2000. While in private
practice, he also served as a faculty member at Nova Southeastern
University's medical school in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Perez has also
served in the United States Army as an emergency physician. He has served
during the Iraq war in 2003 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Ft.
Bliss, El Paso TX. Furthermore, he was called to duty in February of 2007 to
serve at Walter Reed Emergency Department in Washington, D.C.. His primary
responsibilities were to teach residents and medical students as well as
take care returning soldiers and their families. Dr. Perez is a distinguish
Officer who was awarded the National Medal of Defense, the Global war on
Terrorism Service Medal and the Army Reserve Service Medal. Major
Christopher Perez continues serving our country with honor, loyalty and
courage.
In addition to spending the last seven years
practicing emergency medicine, Dr. Perez has also had a special interest in
wound healing and hyperbaric medicine. He has worked the last two years at a
local center for wound healing and hyperbaric medicine in which he has
treated conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers, burns, traumatic wounds,
and non-healing surgical wounds.
He remains committed to providing urgent care
services through quality, compassionate care delivered in a timely manner
and in a comfortable setting. He serves as the acting Medical and Clinical
Director for iMed Urgent Medical Care Centers.
Ray
Rakhar, PA-C - Chief Executive Officer
Ray Rakhar, PA-C, began his studies at Long Island University in Brooklyn,
NY, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in health science. Mr Rakhar
attended clinical rotations at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Hospital
for Joint Disease, Hackensack University Medical Center, and NewYork-Presbyterian
Hospitals. He completed the Physician Assistant Program at Brooklyn Hospital
Center, New York, graduating on the Dean’s List for excellence in clinical
care. He also received a Health Professional Dean’s Award at Long Island
University and was given the New York State Maureen Sullivan Award. During
this time, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Sergeant with the 800th
Military Police Brigade. While in the military, SGT. Rakhar was given orders
to serve in a Humanitarian Aide Mission known as Operation New Hope in
Honduras and El Salvador. He also was activated to assist in the recovery
following the tragedy of 9/11 in New York City. He currently board-certified
by the National Certifying Commission of Physician Assistants. He is a
fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Florida Academy of
Physician Assistants, Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants and
Association of Urgent Care Medicine. Ray Rakhar specializes in Orthopedic
medicine and Urgent care Medicine. He served as a 1st assist surgeon for 3
years with South Florida Institute of Sports Medicine. He is currently
adjunct faculty at Barry University and was noted as the honorary guest
speaker for Barry University White Coat Ceremony.
His hobbies include fitness, martial arts,
marksmanship and taking care of patients. He continues urgent care medicine
today. Mr. Rakhar is Owner and Executive Director of iMed Urgent Care Centers.
Paul Cumello, PA-C
Paul Cumello
completed his undergraduate education at Syracuse University
with a Bachelors degree in Economics. After working in the business world
for 10 years, he decided to fulfill his lifelong desire to enter the medical
field.
Paul received his Physician Assistant education at Nova
Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. There, he earned his degree of
Master of Medical Science. While attending graduate school, Paul took part
in a medical mission to Guatemala. While in Guatemala, Paul delivered a baby
boy. The mother of the child named her son Pablo--after Paul-- to thank him
for his assistance. Paul continues to keep in touch with and send clothes
and toys to Pablo and his mother.
Paul’s medical experience consists of
several years in Emergency Medicine. Paul has worked in local Emergency
departments at both Parkway Regional Medical Center in N. Miami Beach and
Hollywood Medical Center in Hollywood.
Paul is board certified by NCCPA
(national commission on certification of physician assistants) and is a
fellow in the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the
Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA). He presently serves as the
North/Central Broward County area representative for FAPA and as a preceptor
for Nova Southeastern University Physician Assistant students.
In his
spare time, Paul enjoys boating, golf and reading.
Dayne Alonso, PA-C
Dayne
knew she was interested in medicine since the age of 13 when she began to
volunteer at local hospitals and eventually was employed at Mercy Hospital
at the age of 17. She completed her undergraduate education at Florida
International University in Therapeutic Recreation in 1998. In 2002, she
decided to further her education as a Physician Assistant. She completed the
Nova Southeastern University PA Program and received a Masters of Medical
Science and another Bachelor’s Degree in PA studies.
She started her PA career in the field of Urology gaining vast experience in
office procedures and surgery. Her love for a challenge, led her to the
field of Oncology/Hematology where she currently practices at the Miami VA
Medical Center. In addition, she began to explore the field of Urgent Care
and has over 2 years of experience in the Urgent Care setting.
She
is involved with the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants as Miami-Dade
Area Representative and Continuing Medical Education Chair. She is a fellow
member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is Secretary of
the Association of PA’s in Oncology.
Dayne also enjoys helping the underserved populations and joined Paul in
Guatemala on a medical mission trip, organized a health fair for migrant
workers in Homestead, and has been involved with a homeless assistance
program at the Miami VA Medical Center to attempt to restore the lives of
the homeless in Miami-Dade County. Dayne was the recipient of the Florida
Academy of Physician Assistants Humanitarian PA of the Year award and was
recently inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society at Nova Southeastern
University.
In her spare time, Dayne enjoys movies, spending time with her
family, and water sports.
Erika
Nager, MMS, PA-C is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University. At NSU,
she obtained both Bachelor degrees in Biology and Physician Assistant
Science, as well as a Masters of Medical Science. Erika is board certified
by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
and is a fellow in the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
In addition, she remains active in her state PA organization, the Florida
Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) as an area representative for South
Broward/North Miami Dade counties promoting PA awareness, membership, and
legislative updates. Within FAPA she is also working with the Conference
Planning Committee to assist in upcoming CME symposiums. Aside from that,
Erika enjoys writing, and published an evidence-based article titled
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome in the Jan 2006 issue of Advance for PA's. She
has specialized in Infectious Diseases, and recently joined the IMed Urgent
Care Center team. Her hobbies include reading, yoga, pilates, learning new
languages & traveling.
Guillermo
Granados, PA-C, is a graduate from Miami-Dade College Medical Center. He
is currently affiliated with the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and
the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Mr. Granados served 9 years in
the United States Army as a staff sergeant in light infantry, and armored
units. He took an interest in medicine while serving in the military as a
combat medic and EMT. Mr. Granados served two tours of duty in Iraq and
Kuwait. Moreover, he was involved in Operation Liberation of Kuwait. He was
honorably discharged from the military and is a distinguished soldier.
Mr. Granados is currently board-certified by the National Certifying
Commission of Physician Assistants, and presently practices Urgent Care
medicine and Family Medicine. He also obtains experience in Occupational
medicine. Mr. Granados continues his education and is acquiring his master’s
degree in Advanced Physician Assistant studies.
Motivation, dedication and professionalism are his ethical beliefs.
Guillermo enjoys mixed martial arts and currently hold a brown belt in
Tae-kwon-do, Kiado-Ryu. In addition, he practices Muy-Thai kick boxing,
strength training and racquetball. His true inspiration is his wife and
kids. He enjoys spending time with his family. He is a practicing catholic,
and has much faith in his religion. He is a proud member of the iMed team.
J. Keith Williams, MPAS, PA-C

Mr. Williams graduated from Western Connecticut State University, Danbury,
CT in 1976 with a Bachelors degree in Biology. In 1979, he received
certification as an EMT/Paramedic from Daytona Beach Community College and
worked for 3 years with the Volusia county EVAC ambulance service. In 1983,
he graduated from the University of Florida PA Program in Gainesville, with
a Bachelors degree in Medicine. Keith returned to Daytona Beach and
practiced clinically in emergency medicine at Halifax Medical Center for 15
years. In 2006, he received a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree
in emergency medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, PA
Program in Omaha, Nebraska.
Mr. Williams entered academia in 1999, when he joined the PA faculty at
Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Shreveport, Louisiana. In
August 2002, he joined the Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Physician
Assistant program as an assistant professor. In 2005, he was voted “Teacher
of the Year” by the NSU PA class of 2006. He is also adjunct faculty at
Barry University.
Mr. Williams conducts suture workshops at the annual FAPA summer symposium
state conference. His presentations include, “An Evaluation of Suture
Training in Physician Assistant Education,” at the PAEA Education Forum, Las
Croabas, Puerto Rico, in November, 2005:

Mr. Williams is currently licensed by the State of Florida and certified by
the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He
is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA),
the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA), the Florida Academy of
Physician Assistants (FAPA), and the Society of Emergency Medicine Physician
Assistants (SEMPA). He presently serves FAPA as the membership liaison for
Broward County and school liaison for the NSU PA program/Davie.
Professor Williams continues to practice medicine at iMed Urgent Care
Centers. He is a compassionate person that dedicates his time and medical
expertise to iMed patients. Professor Williams is a highly motivated
Physician Assistant that encompasses the true meaning of patient care. On
his spare time, Keith enjoys tennis and playing chess with his son, Logan.
